Ingredients:
1 cup ground almonds
20g cubed butter
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon water
1/4 pure stevia for sweet crust (leave out for savoury pastry)
Egg for glazing
Method:
Rub almonds and butter together until evenly combined, add salt and gradually add water whilst pulling mixture together to form a dough.
Dust with a little baking powder and cover in cling film and put in the fridge for 30 mins for using.
Press into your desired tin and cook for 10 mins or until golden in oven at 180 (fan oven). Brush with egg and return to the oven for 3 mins until golden.
Add filling ie quiche, steak pie, blueberry/raspberry mix etc and cook for desired time.
Great recipe!
Thank you!
why is everything for healthy diets e.g. almond flour SO expensive? No wonder there are so many fatties around
Yes I know it’s very frustrating. I’ve started using Longevity ultra fine fibre flour instead of almond flour which is slightly cheaper.
