Keto Breakfast is easy if you’re at home and have time to cook up eggs and bacon but not so easy if you are at work, in a rush or vegetarian, here are a few ideas.
Tea & Coffee
Milk is a no no, so if you want white tea/coffee, use cream, coconut milk or almond milk, but black tea and coffee is easy to get used to if you stick with it. Fruity teas make a nice change too.
No Fruit Juice
Fruit juice is a no no so you have to stick to water or check out the sugar free concentrates, Vimto comes in cherry, strawberry and original and is tasty.
Cooked Breakfast
Full English
Eggs, bacon, chipolatas, mushrooms, half a tomato, toasted cheesey bun.
I like to grill the bacon, fry the mushrooms in butter and garlic, grill the tomato seasoned with basil.
Scrambled Eggs
Stir in a pan and season with salt and pepper, just as the eggs are ready stir in a spoon of creme fraiche to make them creamy, top with grated cheddar cheese.
Serve with a toasted cheesey bun, smoked salmon, or bacon.
2-Minute Flax Muffin
For when you’ve run out of cheesey buns!
Serve with bacon, mayo, fried egg!
Omlette
Use combo of onions, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, feta cheese, chorizo, ham, spring onions, leeks.
Stuffed Mushroom
Wash and season a large field mushroom and top with your favourite keto ingredients.
Cheesey Bun – (Toast)
Just fancy toast and tea, toast a cheesey bun and spread with butter, or peanut butter works too!
Cold Breakfast
Protein Shake
A protein shake is great if you’re in a rush or on the move – my favourite and most low carb is USN Pure Protein GF-1 1000 g Strawberry Growth and Repair Protein Shake (best price is on Amazon).
Fruit & Nut Pot
Frozen blueberries or raspberries with Total Full Fat Greek Yoghurt, add a sprinkling of toasted almonds, toasted coconut, walnuts, almonds, pecans, brasil nuts for a bit of crunch.
Or you could sprinkle with flax, or coco flax seed for a change.
Muffin Pot
Crumble a raspberry muffin into Total Full Fat Greek Yoghurt for a sweet brekkie alternative.
Oaty Mix
Crush an oaty biscuit into some Total Full Fat Greek Yoghurt for a cereal substitute.
Savoury Meze
Cold chicken, ham, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, cheese, walnuts and pecans.
